This web site is not active at this time. Until 1996 the site provided an overview of the various projects which defined The Artisan's Commonwealth. That included a quarterly hardcopy newsletter that investigated the topic of group ventures by professional artisans. The primary focus of the publication was formal craft cooperatives, guilds and associations, as well as informal and short term groups that form for specific marketing, promotional, production, or purchasing purposes. Related projects included a national survey and cooperative directory, and a video about artisans who worked with local school children.
