Directions to Palm Cove Golf & Yacht Club (formerly known as Cutter Sound) (This course is part of a gated community. Tee-time reservations are recommended.) Make a left turn out of Ocean Village onto Route A1A and follow A1A about 18 miles south until you leave S. Hutchinson Island. After you cross over Indian River and then the St. Lucie River and are approaching the town of Stuart look for a Burger King restaurant on your right hand side. A little past Burger King make a left turn onto Monterey Rd/Ave and follow Monterey for 1-2 miles until you cross some railroad tracks. Just beyond the RR tracks you'll come to Route US1. At the stoplight cross directly over US1 and after a mile or so you'll cross a bridge over one of the forks of the St. Lucie River. On the other side of the bridge the name of the road will change to Martin Downs Boulevard. Follow this road until you come to Matheson Ave at a stop light. Make a right turn onto Matheson and follow it for about 2 miles until you see a fork in the road. If you take the left fork it will take you to Palm Cove. (772)287-5605 (40 minutes from Ocean Village.) An alternate route to get to this golf course is from the Florida Turnpike. Get off the Turnpike at Exit #133. As you pass thru the toll booth don't make any turns, stay straight ahead and you will be on Martin Downs Boulevard. Follow Martin Downs Boulevard for about 2 miles and make a left at a stop light onto Matheson Ave. Follow Matheson for about 2 miles until you see a fork in the road. If you take the left fork it will take you to Palm Cove. If you are coming via I-95 get off at Exit #110. Then travel east on Route 714 for about 5 1/2 miles. Shortly after you cross over the Florida Turnpike, Route 714 makes a left hand turn onto Martin Downs Blvd. Follow Martin Downs Boulevard (Route 714) for about 2 more miles and make a left at a stop light onto Matheson Ave. Follow Matheson for about 2 miles until you see a fork in the road. If you take the left fork it will take you to Palm Cove.
A view of the 9th hole, what used to be a nice finishing hole #18 when it was Cutter Sound.
A view of Par-4 12th green from 100 yards out, one of the prettier holes on the course.
Some Sandhill Cranes seen on the narrow and challenging dogleg-left Par-5 #14 hole (formerly #5 when it was Cutter Sound)
