Course Comments for The Golf Club of Jupiter

I have not played this 18-hole course yet so I am not going to attempt to describe it here in any detail. There is a link to this course's website on the previous page. It was designed by Lamar Smith and built in 1981. This course was formerly known as Indian Creek Golf Club and the course itself is actually older than most of the developments that surround it. The Golf Club of Jupiter has 4 sets of tees measuring from 6275 yards down to 5150 yards for the ladies. It is a Par-70 layout with 6 Par-3's and 2 fewer par 4's. The front nine of this course is significantly shorter and contains the 2 extra Par-3's. (Indianwood Golf Club does the same thing on its back nine with 4 Par-3's or 6 total.) On a late December day in 2002 when I stopped by to get a scorecard I also inquired about green fees. The cost to play here (at least at Christmastime) was $45 before 12:00 noon, $35 between noon and 3:00 pm, and $25 after 3:00 pm. Perhaps some of you who have played this course can provide some opinions below as to the condition and quality of the course and its costs during other times of the year. From a quick walk around the clubhouse it appeared to be a very nice, well-kept course. I also noticed an aqua-driving-range next to the clubhouse.
