SCANNER FREQUENCY LIST

The primary purpose of this web site is to bring together several sources for scanner frequencies that apply to the Washington D.C. area. In addition, it provides links to other web sites that cover other parts of the country. Anyone who has scanned the Washington area knows that you usually have to go to several large publications before you can get a fairly complete listing, which necessitates having to carry a half dozen large books while you're traveling around with your portable!
The reason for this is that the publications cover far more than you need, usually covering the entire states of Maryland and Virginia, and sometimes including the entire northeastern section of the United States. This becomes quite cumbersome when all you are looking for is what you can hear in and around the District of Columbia.
Though not a complete listing, (no frequency list ever is), this list should provide a scanner listener with a pretty good overview of what can be heard. It is also a list that you can carry around with you and not need a wheelbarrow in order to do so. Please note that the mode of the frequencies are assumed to be narrow band FM unless otherwise indicated. All frequencies are in Megahertz, and simplex frequencies are listed under the Output column.
