Dear Bob,
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have you perform at our elementary school. Your performances were entertaining and educational, not only for the students but for the teachers as well. Our librarian informed me that the circulation of science and magic trick books increased right after the show and for the next few days. The students were motivated by you to "get into science" in a fun way!
Our science program is a hands-on program and the students are asked to do projects on their own. The feedback I received from the teachers was very positive because they felt that the students could and would use these science tricks for their projects. Every student had a chance to benefit from your show. There were some teachers who learned some new tricks, also. (Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks?) You made science sound and look very exciting. Since it was reading month (April) when you came, you encouraged the use of reading and writing as a necessary part of science and ALL the teachers were pleased with that.
