Cull-de-Sac

Written by Mike Took, "Cull-de-Sac" is a co-directorial debut for Scriptstuff Productions in collaboration with Producer Nathan Hughes
of Humpback Bridge Productions.
Shooting was completed in mid-2001 and the project was wrapped by the end of the year.

The film is 15 minutes long, and is a dark slice of media satire about an abused and suicidal teenager watching TV. As the story unfolds the TV show she is watching becomes reality, and it becomes hard for her to distinguish between that reality and fiction. Of course there is no reality, as the whole story is a fabrication. Confused? That's the general idea. In addition to telling a great story the film uses the media in a challenging way. If you like mainstream and cosy then Cull-de-Sac is not for you.
