Life of The SuperFly

Well, this is my first page. And of course it's devoted to the greatest game of all time, DOOM. DOOM incorporates realistic 3D textures, stunning graphics, smooth game control, a superb soundtrack, and an element of fear to create the single most enjoyable game ever played. DOOM has spawned many-a-clone in recent years (Eg: Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, and Blood). Even with more advanced graphics and higher tech engines, they are simply that, clones. None have even come close to capturing the essence of DOOM. I would love to go back to that afternoon in 1994. When I sat here, in front of my computer, moving silently along the clausterphobic cooridoors of the original DOOM Shareware. From the first moment I killed those zombies under that alcove (I played on ITYTD that day) I was hooked...I knew that nothing could enthraul me that way again (except for my girl). I'll never forget staring at that incredible skyline of Phobos, or running into my first imp up-close, or trying desparately to get out of the star after running into the Barons...It was a glorious day indeed. I've played all the *hottest* first-person shooters out there, and none have ever struck me as DOOM has.
Since then I've played many a wad and DM'ed quite alot. And, speaking from experience, I have the right to say that DOOM Owns us all...and will NEVER die!!!!

Speaking of a beautiful skyline...

Well, just so you don't get the wrong idea, DOOM is not what my life consists of...
I have my woman of 3 years, whom I cherish more than myself. I am also an as-of-yet unpublished author and an aspiring programmer. My writing revolves mostly around fantasy/sci-fi novel-work (eg. Shadowrun), and screenplays for my various independant films. Music also plays a large part in my life. And IMO Metal and Rock are the only ways to go. This is mostly just a condensed peek at the wonderful being that is me. I promise to have more later.
