Kid's Story, a fun and exciting place to enjoy stories and poetry created by kids just like you. You can even have YOUR stories and pictures placed here so that kids around the world can check out your handiwork.
For us older kids there's a multitude of titles that the copyrights have run out on and are available as text or HTML files. Here's one of my favorites! I found it by starting at The On-Line Books Page.
