The South East Michigan Austin Healey Club became the second Sanctioned Chapter of the Austin Healey Club Of America in June of 1976. The Mission of SEMAHC is to support and preserve the image and integrity of the Austin Healey Marque. The current membership exceeds 120 Healey enthusiasts who have been actively supporting National and Regional events around the country annually. Our main event of the year is ISLAND ADVENTURE which takes place the first weekend in June on PUT IN BAY Island located off the shores of Port Clinton Ohio. The site was chosen for it's Austin Healey Historical background. The first time an Austin Healey Bugeye was seen on a Race Track was at an SCCA sactioned race on the streets of Put In Bay in 1959. This year Island Adventure V will commemorate the 40th anniversary of that Race. Plans are currently underway for Island Adventure V which will include a Pirate Ship Cruise around Put In Bay Island with the guests appropriately dressed as Pirates. The Park Hotel is the Host Hotel which accomodates a limited registration of 50. In the coming weeks there will be more information on Local and Regional events held within reasonable driving distance of our membership. Come back often to keep up with current events.
