14th BUSAN ASIAN GAMES
DAY 1 CIRCLE EVENT

A beautiful Meeting, the theme of the Opening Ceremony of the 14th Busan Asian Games took place yesterday at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium between 18:00 and 20:00 where approximately 5,000 participants gathered before Asia.
The theme revives the union between King Kim Suro and Heo Hwangok in Gaya
(Busan in acient times), symbolizes the unity and hope of 3.7 billion Asians.
  
Today the unity and hope of 10 countries will meet for the sepaktakraw tournaments of
the 14th Busan Asian Games, taking place at the Dongseo University, Minseok
Sports Center with the Circle Event on September 30 and October 1 followed by the Team Event from October 2 to 6 and the Regu Event from October 7 to 9, 2002.
 The men teams of Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand will start the first preliminary rounds of Circle Event today at 10:00 followed by the ladies of China, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam at 11:00.

After the lunch break, the men Circle Event semi-finals
will start at 14:00 while the women Circle Event semi-finals follows at 15:00.  

  
NEW: After a short meeting, there will be a slight change in the schedule for the Circle Event; the will include the Malaysian team playing at 10:00 on Court F
