Richard Fielding Cooke, one of my ancestors, was a State Senator in Tennessee, and the city of Cookevile was named for him.

Ancestors have fought in WARs: Revolutionary, Civil, Spanish American, WWI, WWII and War of 1812
Ancestry is mainly Irish and Scottish. Cherokee ancestor was probably back 4/5 generations, but is unconfirmed.
Pension of William Morgan was often claimed by his son (William D Morgan) before WM could get to the post office in town.
