About the Ghost Town Webring:
The Ghost Town Webring is a linking together of websites containing information, photos or other content regarding ghost towns, historical sites, mines and mine tours, mining history, mining camps, the old west, historic emigrant trails, related museums, railroads, off road travel and gold/mineral prospecting from around the world, or other related topics. Together they encompass our heritage and history, preserving them online before they decay with the ages. Our purpose is to bring together those people that cherish these fascinating places and in one stop, can view an incredibly wide range of interesting sites.
The Ghost Town Webring is the brainchild of
Shawn Hall and Cat House, two people who have enjoyed Ghost Town Fever for
many years. Over the years we have met many other people fascinated with ghost
towns and mining camps. We realized that there needed to be a way for people
with a similar interest to find more information and learn about other places
they might have never even heard about. Hence, the Ghost Town Webring was
born! The ring has attracted sites from across the
The Ghost Town Webring has grown from a mere idea back in May of 2001 to more than 150 current members. The ring's membership has had more than 250,000 extra hits from visitor's traveling the ring. The Ghost Town Webring is now ranked in the top 50 most active rings of the more than 30,000 rings at Ringsurf. We hope that you will consider adding your website to the ring. There is absolutely no cost or obligation, just the opportunity to increase your exposure to a selected audience geared towards the subjects your site contains.

Webring Guidelines: (PLEASE READ!)
Your page must contain content and/or photos regarding ghost towns, historical sites, mines and mine tours, mining history, mining camps, the old west, historic emigrant trails, related museums, railroads, off road travel and gold/mineral prospecting from around the world or related subjects. If you are in doubt if your site is applicable to this ring, please submit it anyway!
Clean graphics, no broken links, etc.
We prefer that the Webring code on your main page. By having the Webring code on your main page allows ring travelers to continue on to other sites in the ring.
Register with the page address where the ring code is located, otherwise it will not be detected by our system and your page will not be added to the ring.
You must put the code on your page within 10 days of submitting your site. If you do not, you will not be added and your site will be removed from the queue. If you sign up and forget to add the code, a reminder email will be sent. After a friendly warning, the site will be deleted.
If you webpage moves at a later date, you must edit your site. If you do not you will be removed from the ring. Rings only work if they aren’t broken. Don't break the ring!
The Code and Graphics
After you sign up for the webring you will be emailed with the webring code. Please CUT and PASTE the code from the email into your site. Only Cut and Paste the html code that is sent via email...anything else will not work!
