Another Kooky Krazy Page

Albert Brooks is an underrated genius. Although considered one of the wittiest, most incisive performers in film today, he is still underappreciated. A perfect example of this being no web page dedicated to him- before now. If he worked as often as Woody Allen, perhaps he would be awarded more recognition. But I can give him my own little tribute...

Old News
Check out some of the old news items you may have missed!

If you read any interesting articles, or hear of appearances Albert is scheduled to make on a talk show, please drop me a line so I can post it here. (please be sure to mention Albert in the subject line, so your letter isn't mistaken for junk-mail!)

Please keep in mind that I have no actual contact with Albert Brooks- I'm just a fan. So, I won't be able to send him any scripts you think he'd be perfect for, etc. I know most of you have figured this out, but let me just say that it was necessary to spell it out for some people. Of course, if you have any projects you'd like my cousin Andrew to star in, feel free to let me know...

Keep checking back for more updates, and any upcoming television appearances!

It's Official!

Yes, that's right. The Unoffical Albert Brooks Page is now Official. Well, maybe not "Official". But less "Un"official anyway... Mr. Brooks himself has seen the page, and here is his exact quote (taken from the AOL chat transcript):

Question: Mr. Brooks, it's an honor. I'm Laura, creator of the first (and only) web site dedicated to the genius that is...You. I was wondering if you've ever seen or heard about it? If you have any questions about your career, you should check it out.

Albert Brk: I actually have seen it. I think you've done a wonderful job. The only advice I'd give is "don't link to bad reviews!" The Chinese have an expression: Link only to the good! When I'm ready to put up my own web site, I'll need to take my name back.

So, take comfort in the knowledge that you're connected to the page that has the
"ALBERT BROOKS SEAL OF APPROVAL"
.

This page was started on a whim, with a Basic Web Design book and no software. Please excuse its appearance, as it is constantly under construction and I'm learning as I go along. I'm open to any suggestions/contributions/additions!

If there's anything you'd like to see added, or see any mistakes that need correcting, or just feel like getting some use out of your e-mail provider, feel free to write me at Shmuggs@aol.com, but please be sure to mention Albert in the subject line- I don't want to mistake your letter for junk-mail!

And also, please remember that I have no actual contact with Albert Brooks- I'm just a fan, like you.

This probably isn't of interest to anyone but me, but Another Kooky Krazy Page has reached a milestone- 60,000 HITS! I know it's not much compared to most other pages, but coming from such humble beginnings, I'm really happy that the page has become as successful as it has, and I'd like to thank everyone for their support, encouragement, suggestions, and most of all,

hits!

If you like this page, I hope you'll give it your vote!

They are doing wonderful work with the relief effort, helping take care of families of all of the victims, and anyone affected by the tragedy. They could use all the help they can get, so please visit their site and read more about what you can do. If you have any other ideas or thoughts, please feel free to let me know & I'll try and get them posted.
