Why Learn Kung Fu?

At WB Kung Fu we recognize that not everyone wants to learn martial arts for the same reason. The most common reasons are:
  • Self-defense
  • Health & Exercise
  • Philosophy & Cultural Interest
  • Social Activities
  • Discipline
  • Fun!
Whatever your reason for wanting to study martial arts, WB Kung Fu will address your needs and give you the most complete experience.

Our Services

Kung Fu will give you a strong, healthy body! Kung Fu classes provide a physical challenge for a variety of fitness levels. All classes can be modified for physical limitations.

Empty Hands

Our style of Kung Fu is known as Hung Gar which is designed to help you develop a strong and balanced foundation. Hung Gar utilizes punching, kicking and grappling, perfect for self defense in close quarters.

Weapons

The study of ancient Chinese weapons is optional. Besides being fun and interesting, traditional weapon training improves coordination and cultivates an understanding of how to use ordinary objects as weapons of defense when outnumbered or overwhelmed.

Chi Gong

Stone Warrior Chi Gong is a series of 21 exercises intended to develop strength, coordination and flexibility without overly increasing muscle mass.

Lion Dance

It is through the Lion Dance that our club gives back to the Chinese community. The Lion dance is a key element in the celebration of any Chinese holiday or special event. The emblem of valor, courage, energy and wisdom, the Lion dance is an extension of the Chinese martial arts and is usually performed by martial artists.

Not only do the performers display strength, coordination, agility and endurance, they also exemplify the martial spirit in the Ssu-Wei or the four basic supports of a State: Decorum (Li), uprightness of mind (Yi), honesty (Lien), and a sense of honor (Chih).
