Sisters in Crime is an organization of readers and writers. Our purpose is to combat discrimination against women in the mystery field, educate publishers and the general public as to the inequalities in the treatment of female authors, and raise the level of awareness of their contribution to the field.
In June, we will have our annual ice cream social at our Atlanta SinC Vice President's home. Please RSVP to Patricia Browning, our VP, at browningpatricia@hotmail.com to be added to the headcount (so we can plan accordingly). Ice cream and drinks will be provided - just bring your favorite topping!
This will be our
last get-together before the Decatur Book Festival at the end of August (which
is in lieu of a September program) so we hope you can join us! Atlanta SinC's
regular monthly programming will resume in the fall with another mysterious
program in October and our semi-annual works-in-progress meeting in November.
