African Clawed Frogs and Shedding
African Clawed Frogs do shed their skin. It is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I receive numerous emails on individuals worried about this.
When they begin shedding you may notice them swimming around with clear-white colored film hanging from their mouths. Upon further investigation you may see them try to swallow it as well as them using their hands to stuff more into their mouths. It is not the most pleasant sight but is harmless to your pet frog! Now if you have goldfish in with your frogs you will find that the goldfish will swim around and eat the skin! UGH!
You should make sure to keep the water quality in great condition. To make sure the frog is not shedding due to improper water chemistry. There is more info on water conditions here.
