History : "Well There's two versions of this story there's what I believe and there's what Clansman will tell you. I'll give you my version first.

"I was fifteen when the world fell in on me literally! I was mucking around in an abandoned factory in the Oceania arcology, (thats a floating city about the size of Sydney Harbour) when a wall fell on me, It broke my neck. You've never heard of the Arcology? I'm not surprised; it's in another dimension.

"The Pegasus Dimension is a utopia compared to this world, almost no crime, talented people accepted as part of society, higher level of technology. And fortunately for me free medical care. I was stuck in that neck brace for six months, my muscles wasting away from lack of use.

"Meanwhile the hospital began suffering unexplained power failures and the local branch of Project Pegasus began detecting a previously unknown Psionic power. Pegasus ran my world; they're sort of a paranormal employment agency. The police employed lots of Pegasus Precogs and telepaths, that's why there was no crime. It didn't take Pegasus long to track me down, they turned up just as my latent telekinesis stopped being latent and drained the hospital of power."

"Pegasus took me in and trained me. A lot happened in the next few years. I learned to use my powers and discovered that with an unlimited electrical power source I could stretch my TK out as far as orbit. Then there was the TK crisis. Pegasus ran out of telekinetics and told the press they had a "skeleton team" of TK's held in reserve for emergencies. In reality all they had left was me. The other guys at pegasus started calling me Skeleteam shortly after that.

"About a year ago I was asked to participate in a long range teleportation experiment. The first two tests went well; I 'ported from Earth to MarsBase and back. The third attempt was got me stuck here. Halfway through the 'port there was a massive power surge through the fusion pack I was wearinig and I lost consciousness.

"I woke up in a hospital in England. It was the last day of the Proprietor War and I guess the energy surge was what you call the Wildstrike. The fusion battery was drained and so was my TK. Without my power I couldn't move my crippled body. It took me a week to recover enough TK to walk, within the month I had repaired the fusion battery and was back in action.

"It was about then that I first crossed swords with the new Clansman. The British government had kitted out one of their SAS men with the repaired Clansman Armour and sent him to steal the Ironside Armour which had been sent to the son of its previous owner after his death in the war. Between us Ironside and I managed to beat Clansman very publicly. After that we were persona non grata with the Brits.

"It was after that that I decided that the best thing I could do was to form my own version of Project Pegasus to help the wildstrikes and maybe make this world a safer place, in the process. Ironside agreed to help and now we're here outside the law and fighting for a better future in secret whilst running a paranormal employment agency during office hours.

"That's was my version, Clansman will tell you that I am just another Wildstrike victim who has lost touch with reality. He says that Project Pegasus is just something I read about in a Sci-Fi Novel. But If that's true, where did I get the Fusion Battery? I even spoke to the author of that book and she is also at a loss to explain it (her pet fire lizard follows me around sometimes)."

Personality: Paul Reidinger is a castaway in a hard and dangerous world very unlike the crimeless utopia he called home. honesty and a need to help others drive him. He is often shocked by the uncaring and hatred he see's around him. Above all Paul is an idealist dedicated to recreating the utopia he has lost.

Skeleteam detests combat and views it as a chore, he would much preffer to be saving lives. He doesn't like killing and will always offer his opponent the chance to surrender.

Powers : Skeleteam has a mere fraction of his former power, back home when he had unlimited access to a nuclear power plant he could pluck shuttles out of orbit or divert a hurricane without leaving Pegasus mansion. Today he has to make do with the Cold-Fusion Battery.

Skeleteam has the ability to disassemble any machine with a thought, his telekinesis can lift 20 tons or allow him to operate his body normally despite his severed spinal cord, forcefields and forcewalls provide defence. At short range Skeleteam can teleport unwilling subjects weighing up to 400kg and at long range can teleport to anywhere in the world provided that he can see the location. The presence of a TV crew often gives Skeleteam the chance he needs to appear.

Skeleteam was trained as a Telekinetic and his other lesser abilities were ignored somewhat. He is a telepath but has to concentrate hard to use this side of his mental power. He also has excellent subconscious mental defences that disrupt mental attacks within an area of 3m/y. Skeleteam has access to an armoury of gadgets and non-lethal millitary equipment. Skeleteam's load-out typically consists of anti-flash goggles, a communicator, a reality stabilizer (power def) and flash grenades [6c].

Occupation : Paul Reidinger acts as managing director Pegasus Paranormal Employment Agency for a small but growing company finding jobs for the talented and providing legal (and extra-legal) protection for its clients.

Appearance:Paul Reidinger appears almost skeletal due to his lack of musculature (a side effect of his neck injury). He is most often seen in business suits when working, or t-shirts and jeans when relaxing. He carries the Fusion battery with him in a briefcase or sports bag, disguised under clothing and a laptop computer.

Skeleteam looks like a muscular version of Paul Reidinger: his forcefield is hidden under his costume to give the illusion of muscle. Skeleteam wares a black pilot's jumpsuit with green trim over a T-shirt with a stylised human skull in profile as it's motif, the skull symbol also appears as a patch on the jumpsuit. When hit by attacks Skeleteam's forcefield flares with green energy about an inch in front of his clothing. His other powers also manifest as a green smoke like aura. The fusion battery is about the size of a hardback book and hangs from a utility belt along with any equipment.

Author's Note: Skeleteam is loosely based upon a character in the excellent novel "Pegasus in Flight" by Anne McCaffrey. It is not my intent to infringe on Ms McCaffrey's copyright in any way with this work.

Please Note: The Character is converted from the previous Champions fourth edition and uses some power combinations not yet covered by Champions-NM
