Fishing with jigs underneath a float (bobber) is one of the most productive methods of river fishing for steelhead. Pioneered on the White River in Hesperia by myself and other diehard steelhead anglers in the late '80's - the "secret technique" soon spread across the Great Lakes. Called by many names: swim-jigging, jiggin' - n - wiggin', float-jigging, bobber fishin', and drift-jigging (to name a few) - this style of fishing is hard to beat. By working a jig with a float, you can achieve many different and effective presentaions (not to mention keeping your lure off bottom and avoiding snags).

Our torpedo shaped Glopedo Steelhead Jig will face upstream with the slightest amount of tension. Combined with different shotting patterns, this rigging tecnique will allow you to fish different current and depths with varying presentations.

Glopedo Steelhead Jigs are also very effective through the ice when used with a Slammer Tip-Up and Wig-Jigger wind-operated jigging add-on. Glopedoes can be fished "as-is" or tipped with bait such as spawn sacs, wigglers, waxworms, etc.

Unlike most small jigs, Glopedoes are DESIGNED TO LAND steelhead with an O'Shaugnessy hook versus the easily bendable Aberdeen style found on most jigs.

Glopedo Steelhead Jigs are available in a variety of Glow-In-The-Dark color combinations. Glopedoes are availbale without tails but also come with a unique MOLDED IN Glow-In-The-Dark tail or tied on Marabou or feathered tails.

Customizing is a specialty of ours and you can get your jigs with eye-balls, ladder-backs, dots, stripes, and even your name or other short sayings on them: EAT ME, BITE ME, FISH ON, PHIL SUCKS, JIG N WIG, are a few we've used in the past (about 4-6 letters per side). The contrast of non-glow markings  versus the glow of the jig has been highly effective for steelhead.
