what possessed the two of you to this lifestyle, but I can only say 'Go for
it!'. I've seen you in action at the Georgia Ren. Fest. many-a-time. I have
always enjoyed the shows immensely. I see in you what many of my old high
school buds might have become if they had ever left town. . . and they had
actually used swords. (They look really silly hitting each other with those
pointy-edge sticks!) Since I spend much of my time these days pretending
to be a productive member of society it is wonderful to be able to spend
a half an hour doing all the things my mother encouraged me to do, uh, I

I was here when, as a man-child, Hack was seen wearing a skunk hat to the
village wolf and bear races. I was here when Hack, as though filled with
hot air, mysteriously floated above his meager bed-sheets and peered down
on those of us in the cluttered room. I was here, when the adolescent Hack
decided it was manly to pierce his nipple, only, he chose to use a local
hardwood do perform the task rather than steel. (I surely pray that the infection
has finally cleared, Hack my good man.) I was here when Hack was abandoned
as a child, an event which obviously scarred and molded the character of
the young man. I have always been here. I do not know of this Slash fellow,
but Slash, if you are here, HOW THE HELL DO I GET OUT OF HERE? life.

Your comments: Suffering from RenFaire withdrawl, HTML poisoning,
and sleep deprivation, I hit the search engines for new things to put on
my Ubitquitous Link page. Under "combat", through torturous URL surfing,
I find... Hack & Slash! Yes! This will work, it has all the requisites
- steel, laughs, steel, leather doublets (wow, Hack, you make Slash look
*good* in leather), steel, and weirdness. Consider yourself my combat link.
And I wait patiently for Faire season to start - maybe a trip to Florida;
I don't think I can wait til June and GLMF...

Your comments: This really is quite an incredible website to say the
least. I have been a fan since MD RenFest 1995. Ask me if I enjoy performances
of H & S, and I will honestly tell you that it is almost as torturous
as reading every blessed word upon their website and clicking on every blasted
link! For those of you who didn't understand my previous comment, the answer
is an emphatic "YES, oui, si, *nod*, uh huh, yepperdoozer (that yepper word
is quoted from my 3 year old so I believe I have the proper liscense to use
it.)
