Strife Behind the Scenes Hits FDP Studios Again

The producing team of DanniJ and Slyn have officially parted ways. The creative team behind all the productions at FDP Studios announced late last month that their partnership has been dissolved.
Slyn had this to say to the Reporter: "There are many changes happening here at FDP, but I feel they are for the best. DanniJ wanted the freedom to explore new creative avenues and I respect her decision.  She will always be a member of the team in spirit.  And I am sure that she will still critique FDP's work. She will be missed, but I wish her all the best."
The Reporter has also learned that the productions,
Bring It On and The Miss Plastic Princess Pageant, that DanniJ spearheaded will still go into production in 2002.

Sneak Peek:
Lights, Camera, Love

The second installment of Capeside Goes to College is set to premiere December 16th and FDP studios granted the reporter a sneak peek at the new episode.
This episode is sure to  please all the Dawson and Joey fans there.  We will get to see Dawson take 'action' in order to win back Joey's heart.  Look for Dawson to begin an all out assault to prove to Joey that he is more than just her childhood friend.
A few fresh faces have joined the cast this episode.   The role of Pacey Witter, originally portrayed by HL Ken, has been recast.  A young new actor, MD Ken has taken over the role.
A new character, Drue Valentine has joined the gang in Boston. Drue is a character who has old ties to Jen Lindley.  He is being deemed the character you will love to hate. Heartthrob model/actor Kenny, best known for his hot FDP Roswell promos, beat out several well known faces to get the role of Drue. Look for Drue to start shaking things up in Episode 2.

Recasts &  Rumors - AGAIN

Although, some rumors have popped up that the recasting of yet another major role led to the end of the creative partnership between Slyn and DanniJ, an official spokesperson from FDP studios assures us this was not the case.
"The replacement of HL Ken as Pacey had always been a priority for us at FDP.  We were looking for a younger actor who could handle the part, and HL Ken agreed to tackle the role while we continued our casting search.  This recasting was a very positive decision on all sides."
Will MD Ken, a relative newcomer be able to handle the emotionally complex character of Pacey? We all will be watching
Lights, Camera, Love to find out.

The Show Must Go On

Capeside Goes to College, the production based on characters from the WB series Dawson's Creek, has resumed production after a few months break.  "We are living in uncertain times," said producer Slyn, "we all had to stop and reexamine our priorities."  "But after much deliberation, I have decided that I must continue to pursue activities that bring myself and others joy. I hope my productions will bring much needed smiles into peoples lives."

The new release date of Capeside Goes to College episode 2 will be December 17th 2001.
