SMAAC Youth Center provides a safe space for youth who would otherwise have no such space in their lives. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth are often subject to harrassment, ridicule and even violence in their schools, their neighborhoods and sometimes even in their homes.

Over the past year, SMAAC Youth Center has seen over five hundred lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth. In additional to safe, supervised recreational activities, the Center has been able to provide one-on-one mentoring, health education, computer training and access, employment assistance, leadership and facilitation training, counseling and support to these often overlooked youth. While we have been fortunate to raise significant programmatic funding to support the programs that we have developed for our youth, we continue to ee assistance with meeting our facility and general operations costs. Won’t you help us keep SMAAC Youth Center open, clean, safe and well-maintained?

No donation to this groundbreaking and much needed project is too small. Won’t you please send a donation today? Your donation is fully tax deductible, as SMAAC Youth Center is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation.
