The Eleventh Annual Ritual Abuse, Secretive Organizations and Mind Control Conference

August 8 - 10, 2008 near the DoubleTree Hotel - Bradley International Airport - 16 Ella Grasso Turnpike - Windsor Locks, CT

Conference Goals

To help stop future occurrences of ritual abuse, to help survivors of ritual abuse, to name the groups that have participated in alleged illegal activities, to unite those working to stop ritual abuse

Conference Participants

The conference will include all those either recovering from ritual abuse and/or fighting against ritual abuse. This includes survivors, co-survivors, therapists, other helping professionals, lawyers and all others interested in learning more about ritual abuse.

Current members of secret organizations, current perpetrators, and/or members of unsympathetic organizations are excluded from the conference. This is for the protection and safety of those in attendance.

People have told us that last year's conference was the safest conference they have ever been to. But, this conference may not necessarily be safe for all survivors. S.M.A.R.T. recommends that you try to bring a support person that is familiar with mind control techniques and staying with that person or another safe person at all times. Conference Information

The conference will be one evening and two full days. Lunch will be free for all registrees both days for those registered before 8/4/08. Room rates are $97 a day (not incl. tax), please mention S.M.A.R.T. to get the special rate. This rate is guaranteed until 7/8/08 or until all rooms at the special rate are gone. Speakers and Biographies

Neil Brick is a survivor of alleged Masonic Ritual Abuse and MK-ULTRA. He is the editor of S.M.A.R.T. - A Ritual Abuse Newsletter. His topic is: "Debating the nonbelievers. Getting equal time for survivors' views."

A retired psychologist, Wanda Karriker, PhD, wrote the novel, "Morning, Come Quickly," to share what she has learned about the aftereffects of RA/MC. In advocacy for survivors, she has appeared on CourtTV and in 2007 presented papers at a UN conference for women and at the ISSTD conference in Philadelphia. Her topic is: "Voice, Visibility, and Validation for Survivors. Highlights of the Extreme Abuse Survey Trilogy."

Joanne is a survivor of RA, family and government mind control and medical experimentation She has been working on recovery for 14 years and has been instrumental in helping her three dissociative children heal. She leads a life as an active professional in her chosen field in her community. Her topic is: "Breaking the Addiction of Dissociation."

Lowell Routley is a therapist in the Midwest who helps survivors of extreme trauma. Lowell has listened to survivors to find what works, what doesn't and why. As director of Heartland Initiative, he actively trains therapists and consults with client and therapist to resolve impasses in healing. His topic is " Am I "Real Me" or Am I "Memorex, y, z"? "

Jennie P. is a lawyer, a librarian, and a poet, presently working as a contractor in the biotech industry while completing her first book, "Happy Girl: From the Basements to the Rooftops, A Memoir and Guide to Healing From Trauma." After years of struggle, she has successfully healed from satanic ritual abuse. Her topic is: "From Despair to Joy, One Survivor's Journey."

Mary Keats RN BA wife, mother, grandmother, working in social services, is a survivor of Ritual Abuse Torture. She is a spiritual person who enjoys life to the fullest. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She refuses to be muzzled, decided early on in her recovery to break the silence, so others could be helped. Recently, she has published an article on "Healing from SRA" in the journal Sharing. Her topic is "Children of Survivors - Successes and Challenges"

Thorsten Becker is a social worker who lives in Lueneburg, Germany. From 1984 until March 2000, he was a counselor on cult-related problems. Since then, freelancing as a supervisor and case-consultant/manager for therapists, social workers and investigators, he has specialized in issues of ritual violence. In 1994, he was awarded the German Child Protection Award for his work with ritually abused children. His website is www.BeckerTho.de. His topic is : "Ideologically Motivated Crimes - Ritual Abuse in a different perspective, reflected on by data from a series of survey on extreme abuse."

Hal Pepinsky - Since the fall of 1993, Hal has as far as he knows been the only university professor to bring more than one ra/mc survivor to his classes. Hal has taught criminal justice for 37 years. Surviving ritual abuse and mind control has become a foundation for his larger thinking on what he calls "peacemaking," establishing safe relations in the face of violence. His topic is: "Weighing and Responding to Evidence of Abuse."

Eileen Schrader is a therapist and a survivor of RA/MC, who has the privilege of treating fellow survivors. She wants all survivors to live the best lives possible, and has advocated for them at the United Nations. She is grateful to her husband, Henry, for his humor and dedication. Her topic is "Programming and Beyond --the obvious and subtler effects of mind control in survivors of RA/MC."

Dr. Katherine Glenn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in private practice in Greensboro, North Carolina. She specializes in trauma and addictions, and belongs to the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and RA Survivor Support. She has worked with survivors for 16 years. Her topic is "One Therapist's Introduction to the World of Mind Control."

Leslie was born in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. She was raised in a multigenerational cult and used in mind control training. Desperately struggling with the effects of traumatization all her my life, she finally found help that has transformed her life. Her topic is: "Triumph Over A History of Ritual Abuse and Mind Control."

Refund Policy: Fees will not be refunded after July 8, 2008. Please send us written notice via regular mail. Refund will be minus $70.00 deposit per registree.

Registration Waivers

Fee waiver application fees are $90.00 for two days and $45 for one day, and are non-refundable. Please do not send fees until your application is accepted. Please add $30 to attend the Friday night early registration, get together and deli dinner. Applications will not be accepted after July 1, 2008, payment must be made by 7/8/08. Acceptance will partially be contingent on the number of paid applicants. Fee waiver registrees must volunteer for four hours at the conference. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay any travel expenses. Please E-mail or regular mail us for an application.

Conference Stipends

Conference stipends of $500 to cover hotel and travel costs are now available. Deducted from each stipend will be our fee waiver application fees of $90.00 for two days and $45 for one day. Please add $30 to attend the Friday night early registration, get together and dessert buffet. Applications will not be accepted after July 1, 2008. Stipend registrees must volunteer for four hours at the conference. Please E-mail or regular mail us for an application.

Accommodations

Transportation

There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. Hotel parking is available at no charge for those attending the conference. Conference sponsors, etc. assume no responsibility for ground and/or air transportation arrangements. Conference sponsors cannot assume responsibility for additional expense or losses due to illnesses, cancellation of flights, strikes or other causes.

Attendance Policy

Survivors should try to bring a support person with them to the conference. Presentation of a picture ID will be required of all conference participants (unless previous arrangements are made with S.M.A.R.T.). This is for safety reasons. Some of the topics discussed may be very heavy for survivors. The conference is educational and not intended as therapy or treatment. Conference sponsors, cosponsor, speakers, organizers and exhibitors assume no responsibility for any reactions resulting from attending our conference. Statements made and materials exhibited and distributed by attendees, speakers and exhibitors are their own and don't necessarily represent the policies or views of conference sponsors, cosponsor, speakers, exhibitors, organizers or attendees. Children are not permitted to attend the conference. S.M.A.R.T. and its representatives also reserve the right to remove anyone from the conference at any time. Photographing, audio taping and videotaping without written permission from S.M.A.R.T. are prohibited.
