Rarities

This is a letter I received from "Ginny the Fan Mail Lady" in 1983, long before she ever went online.

This is an example of art by Stevie's favorite artist, Sulamith Wulfing.  It's a collector's plate called "The Gift" that was issued in 1983 by Konigszelt Bayern.  It's the fourth in a series called "Sulamith's Love Song."  In "The Gift," the artist is said to use "curved line and contour to weave her spell and create the fragile other-world that gives her work the visionary quality critics have called lyrical mysticism."  Sulamith Wulfing's art is further described as "untouched by ordinary time and space.  In an often dark and ugly world, she is a spinner of gossamer dreams that speak of light and hope, of some forgotten graceful time with innocence sang."

Those words sound so familiar that it almost makes you wonder which "artist" came first, Sulamith Wulfing or Stevie Nicks!

America Online features an interactive game called "Strike-A-Match" in the Boxerjam Gameshow area.  The object of the game is to quickly click on the three words that go together best.  Players can submit word sets to be included in future games.  So I did...and they used it.  I was so excited, I grabbed my digital camera and snapped a picture the second time I saw it.

It's a simple game...not much to it, but it sure is a kick when you see something familiar on the screen!

Can YOU find the match?
