In the ten years since Moish Sokal came to live in Somerset in the  southwest of England his watercolours have become well-known and are now treasured in homes in many parts of the world.

Sokal's expeditions have taken him to many exotic corners with the subsequent exhibitions showing his versatility, capturing the atmosphere of tropical markets and the beauty of the Somerset countryside with equal clarity. Sokal’s latest trip to Goa and Rajasthan in India during early 2001 has provided him with some of his most arresting subjects to date.

Moish is currently travelling and painting in Asia for his next exhibition. (Feb / Mar 2002)

Moish Sokal’s studio in Norton sub Hamdon always has a selection of original paintings, prints and signed cards available and visitors are welcome by appointment. You can also contact the artist by e mail.

COMMISSIONED PAINTINGS

Moish Sokal accepts commissions and over the years many clients have been delighted with the beautiful painting of a subject close to their heart. Subjects chosen have often featured the clients home, the church where they were married or a favourite view. Frequently the painting has been commissioned to be a particularly special gift or to present to a colleague. A commissioned painting can be a prestigious addition to a company office or a public building or be a focal point in a private home.

Commissioned paintings cost from £220. Your painting can also be framed for you and signed photocards can be prepared. Please contact the artist to discuss your ideas.
