| Here's a nugget for you. Bruce was actually born in
Long Branch at Monmouth Medical Center. Until he graduated from high school in '67 he
lived in Freehold. The Inkwell, a coffeehouse at the corner of Second and West End Avenues in Long Branch, was the place where Bruce and Vini Lopez decided to name their band "Steel Mill." It used to be a typical 60s-style joint, but lately it's become too hip among the local obnoxious trendy teens. Check out Cheers nightclub located at 369 Broadway near the railroad tracks across from city hall. Known venue for Springsteen, Joe Grushecky and Joe D'Urso of Stone Caravan.
