(collectively known as SEASIDE)

This area offers a bigger boardwalk and more activity than Point Pleasant.

From Asbury Park and utilizing Route 35 south, the ride to Seaside should take about 40 minutes under optimum conditions and depending upon (summertime) traffic.

The best waterslide park in the area is located one block west of the boardwalk on the north end of the beach in Seaside. The southern end of the boardwalk promenade in Seaside features a wonderful carousel (but nothing to compare with the originals that called The Palace and The Casino home).

Immediately north of the carousel is a small mom and pop restaurant that serves pizza, clams on the half shell and the best and spiciest mussels marinara you've ever had. Hint: Order the mild version and two beers to go with it off the top. You can sit inside and get a great view of the beach/ocean. If you like miniature golf, both Seaside and Point Pleasant are loaded with good spots. The most exotic is a former waterslide park in Seaside that was turned into a putt-putt course due to high insurance premiums. It is located two blocks west of the aforementioned waterslide park.
