Welcome to my Babylon 5 RPG

Welcome to my Role Playing Game (RPG) which takes place in the

universe.  

"Sooner or later, everyone comes to Babylon 5"

Information about this RPG;

In this RPG you start off on the homeworld of your race, as your race will not have any other colonies.  You will not be able to build or make starships at the start.  At first you can build just rockets and short distance scouting beacons.  You have to research technology, so the more you research the better things you will be able to build, and better chances you have with expanding your holdings.  To research things, each race is capable of building research stations which can each hold 50 scientists, There will be a selection or about 5- 10 things for you to research, you can only research 1 thing at a time, you require some things before you can research some technologies, for instance to be able to research Takion Relay Technology you need to have researched Takion Beam encoder, Takion beam decoder, Jumpgate technology and Hyperspace beacon technology.

The amount of research labs and scientists you have is up to you, some developments will happen without scientists and labs, but they will be very slow, the quicker you gain technology the better chances you have of competing with the other races.

There can only be 1 character for each race, races ships and structures will be different, once researched.

Once you have ships and have the ability to colonise worlds, you will be able to make more colonies, gain more money, build jumpgates, fight other races, plunder and conquer of make alliances.

Races in yellow text are available.  there are no vacancies above but anyone interested in joining, please goto the join page and join the wating list.

Races in Blue text are soon going to be taken over by someone off waiting list.

Races in Grey text are now extinct

The shadows and vorlons are unavailable as they have already better technology.  They will feature in the game at a later point when each race ventures into space.  They are both played by me (sperk80070) if you wish to contact them, e-mail me with a subject heading "message to Vorlons" etc.  They may offer your race certain favors in exchange for allying your race with them in the great war which is to come.

Each Race will start off with their homeworld and 200,000 credits - late joiners will also receive the money from all the paydays they have missed since the start of the RPG, this should ensure fairness.  each race starts with different levels of basic technology.  Races cannot communicate in the game until they have developed either good enough ships to locate the other races homeworld or colony, or have developed takion relay technology for long-range communication. for that reason there will not be anything on the players page for now.

There is a catalog of structures and items that races can buy/build.  Once communication is made with other races, your race can open trade routes which will gain credits per week for both races involved, also you can make military alliances.  each race will not know the level of technology of the other races, so picking a easy target for your first assault may be difficult.  there is no advantage depending on which race you chose at the start, only based on what you do with what you are given.

Each Race will start with 2 P1 rated telepaths to start breeding telepaths if they wish to. This is each players first decision, if they decide to breed the telepaths, they will add some more items to their personal catalog. ie psi training buildings.

The reason for the start with little technology is because it gives you more things to do, and more say in what happens, than just building up a fleet of ships.

There can be a maximum of 60 players at the moment, but if there is more demand, then people may join the waiting list, and i will contact them as soon as a position becomes vacant, either by a player quitting or a race becoming extinct.
