Friday, March 7: 7:30pm
Symphonic Band Concert, conducted by Andrew Hoefle. No charge for admission. Donations to music scholarship funds will be accepted.
Monday, March 10: 12 Noon
Piano Recital / Lecture by Mark Valenti. Valenti has performed in recital live on WFMT classical radio. He has also done extensive work in the Jazz field including performances with Gregory Hines, Frank Foster and Al Grey and has appeared on television with Joe Sudler's Swing Machine and singer/actor Christopher Durham. No charge for admission.

Jazz Fest: Area high schools meet for a two day festival of jazz music. Each high school performs for 20 minutes and then participates in a clinic where they learn to fine tune their skills. Featured guest artists for the 2008 festival are trumpeter Michael Mossman and saxophonist Chris Vadala. A schedule of bands is posted on the SSC Band Homepage. No charge for admission.
Saturday, March 15: 5:00pm
Jazz Festival Concert: South Suburban College's Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra, both under the direction of Andrew Hoefle, perform with guest artists Michael Mossman and Chris Vadala. Choir Day: Area high schools join music department chair Albert Jackson and Adjudicator Dr. Keith Hampton for a day of singing. Each choir performs for 20 minutes and a work session with Dr. Hampton follows. No charge for admission. See photos from previous Choir Days at the SSC Choral Homepage.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!": April 22, 23, 24, 2008 at 8pm, April 25, 2008 at 11am and 8pm, April 26 at 2pm and 8pm, April 27 at 2pm only.
Everyone near and far has a good mind to enjoy freedom just as statehood is about to come to Oklahoma. It's the place where a young ranch hand, Curly happens to be infatuated with a local young lady, Laurey, where wide-eyed Will Parker has returned early from a trip to the up-to-date Kansas City only to find that his pleasure-seeking girlfriend, Ado Annie unable to say no to other men and where the evil Jud Frye ends up falling on his own knife and dying. Sterling tunes include "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "Surrey With the Fringe On Top," "I Can't Say No," and the title song, "Oklahoma!"
