Tim began study of astrology in 1960 to research it so that he could intelligently dispute it. He still studies and maintains a healthy skepticism. He will test a system or technique for years before including it in his work. His teachers and mentors include top names in astrology from Dane Rudhyar, the father of humanistic astrology, to Dr. Zipporah Dobyns, a pioneer of psychological astrology. Tim completed Noel Tyl's exhaustive course, “The Principles and Practice of Astrology," in 1977. In 1982 he was a graduate of Dr. Zipporah Dobyns' "Astrological and Counseling Intensive." He completed the first of Dr. Ingrid Naiman's "Astrology of Healing Master's Classes" in 1989.
Tim established his professional consulting practice in
1970. He's been a member of national and international astrology
organizations including the International Society for Astrological Research,
the National Council for Geocosmic Research, the Organization for Professional
Astrology (OPA), the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN), and served
for several years as a central committee member of the Santa Fe Astrology
Forum. He's been a guest on radio talk shows and authored astrology pages
