NOTES FOR PREPARING SAUNA AREA FOR PRECUT KIT (SAUNA MATERIALS
PACKAGE)
1. Frame walls with 2x4 studs, 16" on center and lower ceiling
to 6'6" to 7'0".
2. Floor should be cement, tile, or sheet vinyl.
3.
Insulate with R-11 (3 1/2" )in walls and R-19 in ceiling (6")
4. Frame in
door opening 24"x82" (or shorter) and allow 24" for wall heater (including air
space). Note: Door and heater are best located on front wall.
5. Install
4"x6" inlet and exit vents. This is optional with the Finnish Polar heaters and
required for the Swedish Tylo heater.
