My Steen family traces its roots to the Scotch/Irish Presbyterians of Northern Ireland dating back to the mid 1600s and the Cromwell invasion. Elements of this family emigrated to America in the early to mid 1700s and the mid 1800s. My name is E. Warren Steen. My own line of ancestors is from Robert Steen, who came to America around 1756 with his brothers, James, William and Matthew. Robert married Elizabeth Boyd and settled in Chestnut Level, Pennsylvania in about 1760.
