The Last Will and Testament of Jacob Sauble, deceased
In the name of God, Amen; I Jacob Sauble of Carroll County in the State of Maryland, being advanced in life and at present in feeble health of body but of sound and disposing mind and considering the uncertainty of life and wishing to make some disposition of my property before it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and declare this instrument of writing to be my last Will and Testament as follows to wit:
I. In the fist place, I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God, humbly relying on His infinite Mercy, and my body to the earth to be decently buried under the direction of my dear family and friends; and after my funeral expenses and all proper charges against my estate are paid, I dispose of all the estate and property I now own or may hereafter acquire as follows to wit:
II. I give and bequeath to my Oldest daughter, Eliza Holland, wife of Edward Holland, or Her heirs the sum of $100.00 dollars One Hundred dollars.
III. I give and bequeath to my second daughter Mary Tate, wife of Thomas Tate, the sum of $300.00 dollars Three Hundred dollars; also the four notes I hold against the said Thomas Tate amounting to $930.00 dollars with the interest due thereon.
IV. I give and bequeath to my single daughter, Lydia Sauble she being my youngest child, The (2) two acre lot with Dwelling House and other improvements thereon, it being the same property on which I now reside, together with all my Personal property of what so ever kind it may consist, including all money I may have on hand in the House or in Bank at the time of my death, also the sum of $800.00 dollars Eight hundred dollars.
V. To my daughter Belinda Lambert wife of George Lambert I give and bequeath the farm I now own it being 83 acres more or less with the improvements thereon which was purcased from Johnathan Lambert Executor of Hetty Lambert late of Carroll County State of Maryland deceased. With this provision that at the time of my death the said Belinda Lambert or George Lambert her husband are to pay all my funeral expenses and my just and honest debts if there be any, the said Belinda Lambert or George Lambert her husband shall have the privilege to sell the said farm if they think it best to do so at Public or Private Sale, or if they prefer to keep said farm they can do so. But they must settle or pay the legacys mentioned in item No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4, from the money received from said sale or otherwise if they can do so, and the money remaining from said sale of the farm shall be theirs clear of any encumbrances from my other children, that is in Fea Simple.
VI. Lastly, I hereby appoint my Said Soninlaw George Lambert husband of Belinda Lambert, and my Single daughter Lydia Sauble to be the Executors of this my last Will and Testament, not requiring them to give any Bond, but authorizing them to do every act and thing necessary to settle my estate; and I do hereby revoke all other wills by me heretofore made ratifying this and none other to be my last Will and Testament.

Last Will and Testament and Codicil thereto, of Dorothy Sauble, deceased
In the name of God Amen: I Dorothy Sauble, of Carroll County, in the State of Maryland, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, do make this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills heretofore made by me. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral charges, including a suitable memorial over my grave, and all costs of administration upon my Estate are fully paid, I will as follows: -
Item : - I give and bequeath unto my son Wilson Reese Sauble, the sum of Fifty Dollars, and direct the same to be paid to him, without the intervention of any creditor, at the end of six months after the date of my death, without interest.
Item: - I give, devise and bequeath all the rest and remainder of my estate, Real, Personal and mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at my decease unto my daughter R. Virginia Sauble, in fee simple, absolutely.
Item: - I will and direct that my daughter R. Virginia Sauble, shall pay to my "Grand Son" Lafayette Franklin Sauble, when he arrives at Twenty-five years, the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty dollars, without interest, and in the event of his death, before arriving at the age of Twenty five years, and without having a child or children, paid to his mother, Elizabeth Sauble, wife of W. Reese Sauble, at the time when her son would have arrived at the age of Twenty-five years, without interest.
Item: - I will and direct that my daughter R. Virginia Sauble shall also pay to my "Grand Son" Hanson Thomas Webb Sauble when he arrives at the age of Twenty Five years, the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty dollars, without interest, and in the event of his death, before arriving at the age of Twenty Five years, and without leaving a child or children, then I will and direct that his said Three Hundred and Fifty dollars, shall be paid to his mother Elizabeth Sauble wife of W. Reese Sauble, at the time when her son would have arrived at the age of Twenty-five years, without interest.
Item: - I direct, and hereby release by Executors hereinafter named, from giving bond, in the settlement of my estate.
Item: - I appoint my daughter R. Virginia Sauble and my attorney George L. Stocksdale, Executors of this my will, hereby revoking all other will, made by me.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, on this Tenth day of July, Eighteen Hundred and Ninety, to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills.

This is the first codicil to the last Will and Testament of me Dorothy Sauble, of Carroll County, and State of Maryland, which is dated July 10th A. D. 1890. Whereas Hanson Thomas Webb Sauble, my Grand son, departed this life on the 22nd day of July A. D. 1898, therefore I Dorothy Sauble doth hereby revoke annull, and declare void, that Item - of my will, wherein I bequeathed unto my Grand Son H. T. Webb Sauble the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars, and in the event of his death, to his mother Elizabeth Sauble.
Item: - I will and bequeath unto my Grand-Son, L. Franklin Sauble, an additional sum of Three Hundred and Fifty dollars (or the money which I gave and bequeathed to his brother H. T. Webb Sauble.) to him, his heirs and assigns. In all other respects I confirm my aforesaid will.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, to this my first Codicil, to my aforesaid will on this 30th day of October, in the year Nineteen Hundred and One.

The Last Will and Testament of Mary M. Sauble, deceased
In the name of God Amen. I Mary M. Sauble of Carroll County in the State of Maryland, being in declining health of body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs before it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following , that is to say,
First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid I give and bequeath as follows
1st Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cinderilla Manahan (wife of F. T. Manahan) the sum of One hundred and eighty five dollars, out of which she shall pay all of my debts and funeral expenses, including suitable tombstones at my grave, and the remaining part of said sum of $185.00 if any there be, shall go to her the said Cinderilla Manahan as a specially legacy, exclusively for her own use and benefit.
2nd Item. I give and bequeath unto my four grand children, Clara Scott (wife of Abm. Scott), Ada Manahan, Elsie R. Zepp and Sadie M. Zepp each the sum of twenty five dollars.
3rd Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cinderilla Manahan the sum of fifty dollars.
4th Item. I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Sadie M. Zepp my best bedspread and beding.
5th Item. I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Elsie R. Zepp my best beauro.
6th Item. I direct that all the rest and residue of my entire estate shall be divided into two equal parts and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cinderilla Manahan one of said parts, and the remaining one of said parts I give and bequeath unto the five children of my deceased daughter Iowa F. Zepp to be divided equally among them share and share alike.
7th Item. I hereby authorize and empower my executrix hereinafter named to sell all my articles of personal property at public sale, and to collect all monies owing to me, and to perform all duties that may be necessary in the settling up of my estate.
8th Item. All (inter?) and erasures in the writing of this my last will and testament were made previous to the signing of the same.
Lastly, I do hereby (?) and appoint my daughter Cinderilla Manahan to be sole executrix of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.

I, Clayton J. Sauble, of Carroll County, in the State of Maryland, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills or codicils by me heretofore made, in manner following, that is to say:
After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I hereby give, devise and bequeath all of my property of what-so-ever description, whether real, personal or mixed wheresoever situated, unto my beloved wife, Addie F. Sauble, absolutely.
The legacy willed to me under the will of Maranda W. Sauble shall go to my beloved wife, Addie F. Sauble, wholly and absolutely.
I hereby appoint my wife, Addie F. Sauble, to be my executrix of this my last will and testament and request that she may be excused from the necessity of giving bond, as such executrix.
In witness -- whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this fifth day March 1948.

I, Maranda W. Sauble, of Carroll County, in the State of Maryland, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills or codicils by me heretofore made, in manner following, that is to say:
After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses I hereby give, devise and bequeath all of my property of whatever description, whether real, personal or mixed, wheresoever situated, unto my nephew, Clayton J. Sauble, absolutely.
I hereby appoint, Clayton J. Sauble or LeRoy D. Wentz, or both, to be executors of this my last will and testament and request that they may be excused from the necessity of giving bond, as such executors.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this eleventh day of August 1947.
