Hey! Click here to hear Steve & Emma on Minnesota Public Radio!!!

I've been playing music for a long, long time. From my Port Washington High School days with "The Black Revolvers" playing the Wisconsin 18 year old Beer Bars or the "Battle of the Bands" or the "CYO/School Dances" or with "The Covairs" - Unsafe at Any Volume - playing Bars and Weddings to more recently playing solo or with a few friends at local Coffee Shops, Bars, Art Openings & of course my back yard here in Minneapolis, MN.

My play list consists of both original and cover songs written in the last 4 or 5 decades. I've been writing a number of new songs and reworking some of my old originals for my CD project which is now available for you to have! If you would like a copy, please email me and I'll get one out to you or just surf over to CDBaby.com or over to Music Outfitters and order it from them. There are links and more information on my New CD Information Page.

Past Gigs

Emma & I had alot of fun playing at this year's "2006 Buddy Holly Tribute" at the Riverview Cafe

Here are the photos from this years Buddy Holly Tribute.

Check out the photos from the 2005 Buddy Holly Tribute.

Well, the last couple of years have been great fun for us playing at the "Fireroast Mt. Cafe" ,"Riverview Cafe", "Stillwater Dunn Bros" ,"Freighthouse Dunn Bros, Richfield Dunn Bros and the " Xerxes Dunn Bros" . We had a great time on our Wisconsin trip playing at "Louie's Trading Post " in Monterey, WI and the "Brewed Awakenings" in Appleton and at our special show with our Wisconsin buddies at the"Cafe Carpe" in Fort Atkinson and also at the "8th Street Coffee House" up in Escanaba, Michigan. We also did a couple of private parties and shows at the"Midtown Market".

Thanks again to all of you who showed up, bought CDs, sang along and hung out with us. It was really great to see you all.

Texas Trip News

Well, as always, we all had a great time in Austin, TX this year visiting family and playing at "B.B. Rovers" again. Just like last time, it was wonderful visiting my Dad and family and playing "The House Concert" with the best Bar-B-Q in Round Rock. On previous visits I've played to a full house at "Ginos" in South Austin and also played at the "Water Tank" in North Austin"B.B. Rovers Cafe and Pub" at the"Jollyville City Limits Sunday Night Showcase." Thanks to the Austin Songwriters Group for their continued hospitality. I'll keep you up to date on our future Texas trips.

Dan, Emma, Steve & Jeff at Buddy Holly Tribute 2005

Emma & I want to thank all of the musicians for coming out to play with us and all of you for coming out to see the shows. We wanted you all to know that most of the tip money and other proceeds from our live music and our CD, now at over $925.00 is donated to the fight against breast cancer, Doctors without Borders and to our local food shelf. Thank you all for your support.

Steve West and Friends love our Swirly Gigs from Swirlygig.com and wouldn't even think about playing anywhere without them holding the beaverages of our choice.
