The Group is so named, as is the church, because
the miners brought into the mineral rich areas of Furness were originally
Cornish Tin miners. Perran's motto is believed to be
"Perenne Sub Polo
Nihil". that is
"There is nothing permanent under
Heaven"
The history of the Church is believed to
be;
-
1874 St Perran's temporary building
-
1876 Partially Closed
-
1884 Became part of the local School
-
1880 Church becomes the army Mission
-
1893 Becomes a satellite of St Lukes in
Barrow.
