A Visit to San Francisco's Asian Art Museum

by Strange de Jim

August 1, 2006

In San Francisco's Civic Center that's the Asian Art Museum on the left and the Public Library to the right. To my left as I took this photo was ...

The back of City Hall.

Here's the central staircase inside the museum. Click for www.asianart.org.

To the right is this space, containing the Cafe and escalators.

I'm at the top of the escalators ready to enter the exhibits.

Leaving the museum I walked over to the front of City Hall and enjoyed the flower baskets which have been hung on the light poles along Van Ness Avenue.

This is a 1973 Henry Moore reclining figure. And my culture excursion was at an end.
