My wife and I got our first mastiff over 17 years ago. At the time, we were simply looking for a large breed, companion dog. We bought K.C., a brindle bitch, who we spayed at about 6 months of age. About a year later, we decided that K.C. needed a friend and we needed another mastiff.
By chance, after calling at least a dozen breeders, we reached Iron Hill Mastiffs and soon found our second mastiff. After visiting Iron Hills and talking to Scott & Pam Phoebus we were easily persuaded to try a dog show. One led to another, and another and another... now we spend most of our weekends at dog shows! Today, we have Scott & Pam to thank for providing us with such a strong foundation by co-owning two great mastiffs with us, Ch. Iron Hills Sea Grape (AKA "Paula") and Ch. Iron Hills Magic Bus (AKA V.W.) We have grown to 7 mastiffs at our home now, all living inside with us! (This can get a little "hairy" at times, literally!)
I have been an MCOA member for many years and follow their code of ethics. We breed once or twice a year and we are very selective about choosing a stud dog. They must not only be compatible w/our bitch, but also be totally sound in body and mind. Our bloodlines are primarily Iron Hills and go back to some of the greatest and top winning mastiffs of all time. We do provide stud service to approved bitches and we do genetic testing.
Our dogs are our family and our greatest priority. We sell our puppies only to homes that will provide them with equal love and care. We hope you enjoy looking through a few pictures of some of our wonderful mastiffs!
