Pisces Pisces is Mutable Water, and I consider it second only to Gemini in terms of changeability. However, it's changeable nature is generally somewhat more mellow than Gemini's. Like ocean currents under a windless sky, or mountain streams flowing around rocks, bridges and other obstacles. Following the path of least resistance. Literally "going with the flow." Pisces is ruled by Neptune, and like that sea god, Pisces tends to dissolve or simply disregard the manmade "walls" and psychological barriers designed to keep people separate. Pisces seeps into others' hearts, minds and psyches effortlessly and unobtrusively. The keywords I like for Pisces are "adaptable" and "empathic." Planets in Pisces express their energies in a flowing and sometimes nebulous manner. For example, someone with Mercury in Pisces is likely to be adept at stream of consciousness forms of writing and speaking, but have difficulty with more structured forms of mental endeavors. They may also have a tendency to pick up on other people's thoughts, as if there were no separation between their mind and the other person's mind. I have Pisces on the cusp of the fifth house with Mars in Pisces resident therein. With Mars in Pisces, I definitely prefer to get things done by going with the flow. Others observing me may not discern much rhyme or reason to my approach to a task. Oh, I can think logically and make practical plans (Mercury in an air sign and Capricorn on the third house cusp help). It's just the actual doing of the task that, despite my well laid plans, often seems so disorganized and random. When I run into an obstacle--and life is always putting obstacles in our path--I am not predisposed to forcibly remove it. I would much prefer to wait for a more flexible solution to materialize from the ether. One usually does when I have time to wait for it. Unfortunately, I don't always have that luxury! Where does Pisces flow through your chart?
