jenny91638@aol.com Here I am with two of my
grandchildren.. this was taken in December 2001...

    BIO:

My given name is Virginia, but I am Jenny. I had to go
through a lot to find me, and now that I have, I will
never go back to the name, or the life. I was born
the fourth child in a family of five. There are three
of us still living. I have seven children, twenty-two
grandchildren, and three great grandsons. I was born
and still reside in the great state of California.
Shortly after I signed on to AOL in 1997, I became
involved with the Sunday Poetry group and eventually
formed one of my own. I have written a collection of
short stories, and have finished writing my book,
"Looking For Jenny" but I haven't really made up my
mind if I want to have it published or not. Maybe it
was enough just writing it. I am currently working on
    a collection of poetry/prose about Alzheimer's Disease.

I retired in November 2001... And boy am I having fun.

    MY FAVORITE POEM

    HIGH FLIGHT
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never Lark, or even Eagle flew -
And while with silent lifting mind, I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
    John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
    1922-1941

    Some other favorites are:
    In Flanders Field
    Jenny Kissed Me
    And anything by Longfellow
( I love the melody of his poetry)
