Use Maximum Screen Please Meet Our Patchwork Staff
I would like to take a moment and share just a few words with all visitors about hosting a poetry room. It all appears easy and full of fun. Indeed it can be fun, and sometimes easier than others but easy No. We owe our respect to those that take their time to host these rooms. They are not paid monetarily, they come and freely give their time out of a love and devotion to You... our Friends, You... the Poets and You...the Audience. Let's treat each host as we would like to be treated and remember what goes around comes around at some time or another. So let the Host run the room and just sit back and relax and enjoy the time you spend with us as we enjoy bringing poetry to You and Everyone in the room in an orderly and respectful manner to all.
The links provided below will take you to a page for each host. Each page consist of a biography written by the host, pictures and sample poetry written by the Poet~Host. Comments should be mailed to each hosts provided at the bottom of the page along with a link to their web site if they have one. It will no longer be necessary to reshuffle pages if the hosts switch nights. The hosts are listed in alphabetical order according to their screen names.
IF there are any Themes it will be announced in your invitation. Most nights are open poetry. Let me mention here that an invitation isn't necessary to visit us on any night. It is a courtesy from the host to keep you informed of possible themes and who is hosting only. We do NOT BAN in the Patch....please own this concept and come see us, invitation or not, we don't always have time in our busy lives to get them out. The first 3 years I never sent out one invitation other than the original when I founded the room, AND the room was packed nightly! This new trend is for you when we have time.
Special Events in the Patch are encouraged. We all love to surprise a friend, share our zest for others, please be sure and contact the host first before planning anything. Respect and courtesy is a two way street. I'm sure you will find all of us most accommodating and helpful.
My personal thanks to all Hosts for their care and dedication. I hope you enjoy your web page. A small token of my appreciation. ~*~ Sandy ~*~
