In accordance with the above we have striven to develop benign residential photovoltaic systems, solar systems, and energy-saving devices for homes, agriculture, and solar farm uses. Many of these systems utilize a roof-mounted photovoltaic arrays and allow excess solar-generated electric energy to be fed back to the local utility grid, eliminating the need for on-site storage. Photovoltaics and other forms of solar energy are the ideal fuels inasmuch as they do not pollute the environment and are a completely renewable fuel. PV modularity, simplicity, reliability and low maintenance requirements have been firmly established. Photovoltaic systems have a variety of applications, including power for houses, navigational aids, remote lighting, communication stations, weather stations, water pumping, and general stand alone power systems. In addition, commercial applications number in the tens of thousands worldwide. In addition to the technological benefits associated with the use of photovoltaic power, both large and small private owners of a photovoltaic system are afforded the opportunity to gain some measure of energy independence. Photo voltaic and solar systems make this possible by collocating the energy source (solar radiation), the power generating system (solar cells), and the power refining plant (the power conditioning unit). As with all solar technologies, the basic resource is cost-free, inexhaustible and variable, though predictable. The degree of protection provided from the vagaries of cost and supply of non-renewable fuels (oil and nuclear) can be a major asset associated with PV system ownership. Foreign crude oil imports currently provide the raw material for production of half of the liquid fuels consumed in the United States and represent a cash outflow of almost 8 million - 12 million per hour . Recent events have dramatically illustrated the substantial economic cost, instability and economic vulnerability of such imports. In time of war, oil embargoes, and holocaust, foreign oil and much of our domestic petroleum supplies would be disrupted. Photovoltaics and / or other forms of solar energy are fuels that can substitute domestic renewable resources for petroleum products now and increasingly in the next decade and beyond. PV produces energy that is benign. Also, photovoltaic systems provide the opportunity to bring electricity to people and areas which have never had power for refrigeration, water pumping, lighting, and other basic necessities. For many applications, stand alone photovoltaic power has proven to be more reliable, and less costly, than conventional alternatives. The following online catalog of solar devices represents our small solar systems. We also build and remodel (alter) houses and / or buildings making them 100 % energy independent, they are powered by six different benign energy sources; photovoltaics, bio-gas, ethanol, methanol, LN-G, solar hot water, energy advantage low-E gas, and recycled garbage, wood, corn, and paper products, and a low MPH wind turbine.
