RADIO CONTROLLED AIRPLANES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

TO THE LEFT ARE A FEW OF ABOUT SIXTY MEMBERS.

THE SUNSET RADIO CONTROL CLUB IS DEDICATED TO
GOOD CITIZENSHIP, GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

AND LOTS OF FUN.

SUNSET R/C is located in St. Cloud, Florida, some twenty miles south of Orlando. It has been in existence for over twenty years. The current flying field is located on city property at the end of a gravel road which heads south from the corner of 17th street and Bundiger. This is the corner where the St. Cloud Hospital is located. Guest fliers are welcome as long as they are members of the AMA and are insured. After flying three times at the field you would then be required to join the club for further use of the facility. Spectators are always welcome. The most likely times to find members flying at the field would be either on Wednesday or Saturday mornings. On these days the flying usually starts about 9:00am and continues until mid afternoon. The field is grass and the runway is long and wide. There are people in the club who will teach new members to fly at no charge. Of course, mufflers are required on engines and all City, AMA and local field rules must be adhered to.
