UNIVERSAL ORLANDO
This section is a tribute to my favorite amusement resort-Universal Orlando, formerly Universal Studios Escape, in Orlando, Florida. Universal Orlando's two main attractions are its two theme parks- Universal Studios Florida and Islands Of Adventure. Besides the theme parks there exists CityWalk, a nightclub/shopping/movie theater/dining/concerts area; as well as three hotels- Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel & Royal Pacific Resort; and a huge lake and giant parking garages. The resort opened in 1990 as Universal Studios Florida Theme Park and a small Hard Rock Cafe not long after. A few years later, the second theme park, nightclub area, and hotels were planned, so the parking garages were built and the old paved parking lot was turned into Islands Of Adventure and CityWalk, both of which opened in 1999. The three hotels opened shortly thereafter.
