Social Studies and Science Tip

Problem: Your child has trouble figuring out what to study for tests.

Solution: "Marked copies"

Materials:

Using a photocopy, she should highlight new vocabulary in one color, important names in another, important dates in another, and important concepts in a fourth--she can devise her own system. Once marked, these photocopies make excellent study materials for tests.

Then she can either study directly from the highlighted copy or make study cards.

Tip: Since you're photocopying the material to make necessary educational modifications and not to avoid buying the book, this tip does not violate copyright law.
