In light of an unfortunate incident at the 2006 USCA South Central Regional Championships held in Dallas, where an unentered dog attacked another unentered dog, we have reviewed and amended the SWDC Trial Rules to better protect all involved at our trials. Please review the amended rules here.
Club Meeting is Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 7 p.m. in Mesquite.
SWDC Spring Trial is on Saturday, March 25, 2006 with Dr. David Landau as our Judge. We will have classes for: BH, OB1, OB2, OB3, TR1, TR2, TR3, SchH A, SchH 1, SchH 2, and SchH3.
The guys are headed out to Florida for the WDA Nationals in April. Y'all give them your t-shirt orders.
SWDC is sponsoring the region 6 (that's ours) High SchH III Trophy for the WDA Nationals. Thanks to all who could pitch in on this.
Strawberry is planning to breed Ginger and we are all very excited about this mating.
Chris was selected as the front half trial helper for the 2006 USCA South Central Region Regional Championships. The SV Judge was very complimentary of Chris's helper work. The hosting club gave each of the helpers a new sleeve which was very nice of them. It is very encouraging to see helpers being recognized and rewarded for all the time and effort they put into the sport for the rest of us. We all need to remember to thank our helpers and not take them for granted. We could not do it without them.
Eddie has been doing great on his helper training progress. Angel is starting to break in our junior member Josh who is getting his feet wet with helper work. If you have an older or retired dog at home that you would like worked, bring them out and lets give the guys more dogs to experience.

Feb. 2005: A group of SWDC members traveled to Austin, TX. to support the USA South Central Regional Championship in Hutto. A great time was had by all.
Phyllis reported that Eich earned his AKC CDX title and is enjoying his retirement. Atta boy Eich!
03/05: Bill has a new GSD puppy. Congratulations Bill !!!
03/05: Strawberry announced that our friend Gillian Salling has a new litter of working GSD puppies. Congratulations!
March 2005: A group of SWDC members traveled to San Antonio, Tx. to support Linda at the Mondio Ring Trial there. Everyone had a great time and has vowed to do it again. Here are some video clips of the event:
April 2005: SWDC is now officially a GSDCA-WDA club.
May 2005: Both Angel and Chris traveled to the WDA Nationals in KS and earned their WDA helper certification.
