Brad's 1991 Jetta GLi 16v

The GLi was a model of the Jetta produced by Volkswagen from 1984 to the end of the A2 chassis run, after the 1992 model year.
The GLi is definately one of the most underappreciated cars in VW history. It offered customers all the performance of the more popular GTi, with more balanced handling, 4 doors, and a massive trunk.
It is because of the underappreciated nature of this car, coupled with my love for it, that I was inclined to code this page, the GLi Shrine.

Project GLi - Or, more realistically, my trials & tribulations while seeking for more all-around performance while keeping my car streetable and reliable.

Tech Specs - of all years of GLi production. It includes engine displacement, horsepower, and other facts about the powerplant in that model year.

Pictures - of all years of Jetta GLi, with the occasional Carat or GL thrown in. Submissions are always welcomed.

J. Welty's web page - This page is the definative site for any watercooled fan. I can't explain it unless you've been there. Highly reccomended.

Brien's page - focuses on all watercooled VW's, primarily on Brien's Corrado VR6. Also highly reccomended.

Scott Volkswagen - a fun site from a dealer in the northeast, includes VW screen savers, video and audio clips, and the ever-important audio from the world-famous "da da da...." commercial.
