
The above photo shows a typical Aquanex system configuration. This system can be used for swimming, aquatic therapy, or exercise.
The subject is wearing Type A sensors on her hand. The sensor cables are connected to the interface which is connected to the parallel port of the computer. The interface shown can accommodate as many as eight sensors for simultaneous data collection. Type B sensors could also be attached to the subject's lower arm, upper arm, and trunk.
Type C sensors can be installed in many types of exercise equipment. With Type D sensors installed on oars the system can be used for rowing. Type D sensors can also be installed on hand paddles, fins, or aquatic exercise equipment that has a maximum thickness of .75 in.
