If you own a tinfoil phonograph, or ever hope to own one, you need genuine tinfoil. Modern aluminum foil is a very different product and gives much less effective results than real tin. (For a full report on tinfoil, click HERE.)

The foil I offer is identical to that sold by the Edison Speaking Phonograph Co. in mid-1878, custom-made in the U.S. to the precise original specifications -- 100% genuine tin measuring exactly 1.5 thousandths of an inch thick. This is fifty percent thicker than heavy-duty aluminum foil but much softer and more malleable in texture.

This custom-made foil comes in 1.4 pound rolls (not counting packaging) measuring 6 inches wide by approximately 50 feet long. (Please note, these are heavier and longer rolls than I have offered in the past -- 40% more foil per roll.) Much easier to handle and less prone to tearing than aluminum, this authentic tinfoil yields vastly superior recordings on an original or replica tinfoil phonograph. This is the only commercial offering of phonographic tinfoil in the world!

Due to the huge price increases rampant in the metals market, the cost of tin has skyrocketed along with nickel, copper, and gold. I do not know how much longer I will be able to supply authentic tinfoil, so please order soon to avoid disappointment.
