This M4A3E8 Sherman has a Ford GAA 8 cylinder gasoline engine. The engine's maximum horsepower is 500hp at 2600 rpm. The Sherman is capable of 26mph on a level road, and gets about .6 miles per gallon of gas.

Note the blue filter is not original and the air hose on the left side is not installed.
The engine doors have ballistic shields to protect the engine from anything that made it through the grill work.
The right side air cleaner. The blue fuel pump is a new Holley pump. New reformulated gasoline causes problems with the gaskets and diaphrams original pumps.
The left side of the engine compartment. One of the 4 fuel tanks is visible at the top. The black cone at the bottom is part of the fire extinquisher system.
The cooling fans in the rear of the engine compartment.
