The project is a documentary portrait of teenage mothers. The project works with
a broad based group of community agencies to reach out to teenage mothers and
involve them in the project not only as subject but as participant.
This project is
my exploration of the people behind the headlines. In our public discourse about
these teens, their voices and perspectives are often overlooked. My intent is to
elevate the silenced voice of teens with children, so they could speak through
their photographs and words to our community and to their peers. Through this
