The Brain Surgeons ("tBS") have been a five-piece rock band out of New York City, formed by ex-Blue Oyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard (drums, vocals), and his wife, noted rock scribe and ex-Flaming Youth drummer Deborah Frost (lead vocals). Most of the band's thick guitar sound is provided by Peter Bohovesky (guitars), Billy Hilfiger (guitars), and David Hirschberg (bass). The band has released 5 albums since their formation in 1994 (the cover art for each album is shown below): *Eponymous*, *Trepanation*, *Box Of Hammers*, *Malpractise*, and *Piece Of Work*. The band has evolved into a three-piece unit, as Peter is pursuing other activities, and sadly, Billy has passed away. - below is a photo from one of the last performances by the band as a five-piece -- as they pay tribute to Albert's days in Blue Oyster Cult with the "5 Guitars".
